2020 "Haus Gupi - El Fayoum", Baden, Germany

Cloudy straw yellow and a little ochre. Quite deep, nutty, yeasty and vegetal aroma with pome and stone fruit notes with dried floral as well as slightly bready tones. Calm, at first somewhat muted, then increasingly juicy, relatively dense fruit, nutty, buttery and yeasty flavours, again some white bread, moderate acidity, grip of crumbly tannin, vegetal nuances, some sesame and strawberries, yellow spice, hints of red currants, good depth, lasting, very good finish.

Editor note: Light, very slightly cloudy amber. Quite deep, somewhat yeasty, vegetal to dried herbal, slightly mushroomy and hinted at spicy aroma of mellow yellow fruits with a hint of lavender. Dry, tightly knit, yet rather lean, tangy fruit with slightly tobacco, nutty and yellow-spicy aromas, fine, lively acidity, yeasty flavours, plenty of grip of friable tannin, good persistence and substance, good depth, salty minerality, very good, firm, juicy and spicy finish with lots of fennel.
