2018 Weil Schlipf Spätburgunder, Baden, Germany

Firm and deep, very slightly smoky-bacon aroma of ripe red and black berries with dried floral and herbal aromas. Clear and firm, polished, fine-juicy, quite fresh, tart fruit, lively acidity, fine, youthful tannin, persistent, a little smoky to toasty, salty and chalky tones, still undeveloped, still gaining depth and subtlety with air, elegant style, quite complex, very good, tight finish. Still needs time.
