2013 Weil Schlipf Spätburgunder trocken CS, Baden, Germany

Developed, smoky, somewhat dried-vegetable to herbal aroma of small black and red berries with a little resin and undergrowth. Firm, tart fruit, present, somewhat drying tannins and a certain acid tension, salt and a little charcoal in the background, smoky and bacony nuances, a little earthy, a little bitter chocolate and coffee grounds, very good, only slightly woody finish. Still very easy to drink, but slowly begins to wear out behind the wood.
