2019 Heimersheim Burggarten Spätburgunder Grosses Gewächs, Ahr, Germany

Clear, somewhat tobacco-woody and slightly floral nose of red and black berries with earthy to tarry nuances, some mushrooms and bacon. Quite juicy, fresh fruit with a certain acid bite and fine sandy, youthful, yet rather crumbly tannins, persistent on the palate, somewhat herbal, a hint of citrus in the background, tobacco nuances, salty tones, a hint of coffee, with air also malt, very good finish with fresh juice, some smoke and roasting, salt and grip again, only also still slightly drying tannin.
