2018 Pinot Noir Grosses Gewächs trocken "Löchle", Baden, Germany

Firm and quite deep, tart, somewhat smoky aroma of predominantly dark berries and cherries with a little dried mushrooms, delicately toasty wood notes reminiscent of cigar tobacco, ivy and some ash. Ripe, juicy, again rather dark fruit with smoky and a little sooty-roasty flavours, fine acidity and crumbly, sandy, ripe tannin, some dark chocolate on the palate, ashy nuances, medium power, good substance and persistence, very good finish with dark juice and tart roast.
