2022 Malterdingen Bienenberg Chardonnay VDP.Grosses Gewächs trocken, Baden, Germany

Festering and deeper, nobler, slightly smoky citrus scent with fine herbal-plant aromas, hinted nuts, fine vegetable notes and minerality. Ripe, dense, tart fruit, still undeveloped, but already quite juicy, lively acidity and grip on the palate, dried-plant notes, some smoky barrel tones, good depth, salty-chalky minerality, hinted fresh butter in the background, moderate yellow spice, quite complex, very good, firm, juicy and herb-spicy finish with bite.
