2020 Malterdingen Spätburgunder VDP.Ortswein, Baden, Germany

Clear, a hint of peppery-spicy and ethereal-herbal scent of more red than black berries with a hint of mustard seed and smoky traces. Ripe, firm, juicy fruit, some acid bite and taut, fine sandy tannin, a little cocoa and coffee on the palate, dry herbal notes, hints of dark ethereal spice, salty minerality, good persistence, lots of power and some warmth, very good, juicy, somewhat nutty, also spicy finish with coffee and citrus flavours.
