2019 Malterdingen Spätburgunder VDP.Ortswein, Baden, Germany

Still very youthful, hardly developed, delicately reductive nose of red berries and rather light cherries with fine herbal, floral and mineral nuances. Clear, juicy, fresh and still undeveloped fruit, very fine tannin, some bite, certain persistence, a hint of cocoa, cool mineral hints in the background, hints of smoke and tobacco, already now - especially with air - quite animating, very good, juicy finish.
