Straightforward, fairly firm, partly preserved mixed berry fruit on the palate, some cherries, light toasted oak, some sugar candy, fine sandy tannins, slightly astringent, full-bodied and fairly persistent, hint of tobacco, herbaceous traces, increasingly noticeable dark chocolate with aeration, noticeable warm alcohol, not particularly deep, slightly brittle, light acid bite, very good, tart, slightly sandy finish.
