2003 Weißburgunder Spätlese trocken St. Lamprecht -6-, Pfalz, Germany

Prominent vegetal notes on the nose, some citrus fruit and apples. Lively, elegant, juicy fruit on the palate, light nutty notes and some tart vegetal notes, earthy and mineral notes and some tannins, has some depth, noticeanle but integrated alcohol, already slightly past its peak, but still lively, slightly astringent finish. The second bottle, which we tasted in 2007, was evidently badly out of form.
