2003 Weißburgunder Spätlese trocken Sine Nobilitas, Pfalz, Germany

Mature nutty nose, honeydew melon and some dried apples, mineral and delicate waxy notes. Full-bodied and very juicy on the palate, clear fruit, very elegant acidity, very creamy with noticeable alcohol, very good depth, light caramel and honeyed notes, unfortunately also starting to show its age, although the fruit still appears relatively fresh, creamy and fruity with noticeable alcohol on a very good finish. Has not matured as well as had been expected, but still very impressive.

Editor note: Firm mineral nose, elegant stone fruit aromas, honeydew melon and very ripe citrus fruit. Crystal clear and juicy, attractive spicy nutty notes, perfectly integrated acidity, deep and persistent on the palate, surprisingly elegant for this calibre, loads of creamy, sweetish notes, excellent length. May still improve with maturation.
