1999 Weißburgunder Spätlese trocken, Pfalz, Germany

Tightly woven mineral nose, citrus fruits, white vegetables and some apple. Juicy and very firmly structured fruit, tremendous power, crisp and elegantly proportioned acidity, intense, gripping mineral notes on the palate, very persistent, has breeding and character, very long finish with notes of minerals and spices.

Editor note: Surprisingly fresh, mineral and spices on the nose, apples and candied citrus fruits. Crystal clear, racy fruit, excellent acidity, with almost playful, intense mineral notes on the palate, powerful body with noticeable alcohol, gripping and very persistent on the palate, very good balance, mineral notes on the finish.
