1999 Spätburgunder Extra Brut, Pfalz, Germany

Yellow straw with just a tinge of pink; fine mousse. Spicy and slightly yeasty nose of ripe apples and some red berries. Clean, bone-dry fruit, still slightly yeasty, very fine, lively mousse, delicate aromas of red berries on the palate, attractive spice, some oak, persistent, quite full-bodied, good length.
