2021 Burkheim Feuerberg Kesselberg Spätburgunder Grosses Gewächs trocken, Baden, Germany

Youthful, slightly nutty and a touch bacony aroma of red and black berries with some dark ethereal spice, porcini mushrooms and a hint of tobacco and mint. Ripe, juicy fruit with smoky and almost a little tarry notes, nuts and coffee-like wood notes, crumbly, youthful tannins, good persistence, a hint of nougat, delicate acid bite, very good, firm, tart-juicy finish with chalky-salty tones and moderate bitterness. Needs to mature a little more.
