Slightly smoky nose of black and red berries with some tobacco, nutty aromas, a hint of undergrowth, coffee grounds, floral nuances, Mediterranean herbs and wild mushrooms. Ripe, quite juicy, a hint of warm fruit with bitter chocolate notes, nutty aromas and again a hint of coffee grounds, a bit smoky on the palate, crumbly-sandy tannins and a slight bite, good persistence, some melting, a bit chalky and salty in the background, very good, quite firm finish with a hint of malt.

Best to drink: Mitte 2024 bis 2029+. What our ratings mean
