2015 Mettenheim Riesling Auslese trocken Casimir, Rheinhessen, Germany

Quiet, slightly earthy and old woody, also a little reminiscent of withered foliage, with restrained yellow fruit notes and earthy-mineral and delicate peppery notes. More dry, more restrained fruit on the palate, dried vegetal notes, earthy, old oak and salty notes, fairly prominent acidity, still slightly sandy tannins, has some substance and persistence, smoky traces, very slightly rustic style, good to very good finish.
