2005 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Arzio, Alto Adige, Italy

Dried red berries and cassis on the nose, slightly bitter with some damp undergrowth, minty notes. Slightly diffuse undergrowth on the palate, light medicinal notes, cool cassis fruit and red currants, cranberries and some herbaceous notes, appears lighter than it is, and has some substance, light stalky and vegetal notes, prominent fine-grained tannins, delicately bitter and slightly astringent on a good finish.
