2022 Rüdesheim Drachenstein Pinot Noir VDP.Erste Lage trocken, Rheingau, Germany

Cool, yet slightly reductive, quite fresh nose with more blackcurrant than red berries, hints of sour cherry aromas, a bit of herbs, forest floor, suggested tar, and a touch of pepper. Cool, finely juicy, polished fruit, certain acidity bite, and very fine tannins, somewhat herbal-vegetal in the background, again a hint of forest floor, elegant, rather slender style, distinctly mineral in the background, suggested smoky, very good, finely juicy, again cool finish with polish.
