2022 Hattenheim Nußbrunnen Riesling VDP.Grosses Gewächs trocken, Rheingau, Germany

Clear, cool and austere, somewhat herbal to plant-like and subtly smoky nose with restrained, relatively bright yellow fruity notes and a hint of protein. Clear, finely juicy fruit with nutty-yeasty aromas, fine, ripe, quite lively acidity, a bit of grip, a little yellow spice on the palate, moving towards anise and pepper, moderate, slightly sweet melt, persistent, some depth, firm, clear, juicy and finely spicy finish with distinct minerality and a touch of beeswax.
