Very firm nose, prominent yeasty as well as dried vegetal notes, light nutty traces, intense mineral notes, restrained, cool yellow fruit, some mussel shells, light tobacco, herbs, wild mushrooms as well as some white and yellow flowers. Very ripe, slightly warm sweetish fruit on the palate, more prominent yeasty notes, hint of butter, peanuts and almonds, concentrated and very persistent, very elegant acidity, firm, well-integrated, excellent tannins, touch of sugar candy in the background, firm grip, deep, tart mineral foundation that perfectly balances the slight residual sugar, noticeably warm, still largely undeveloped, complex elements of texture and aromas, tranquil, but also challenging, really makes the taster work, moves away from varietal character, develops over several days, at some stage one cannot find any more words, develops red and black berry notes with extensive aeration, deep, gripping, complex, very long finish with spicy aromas. Has some singular aspects, but may not find favour with Riesling purists. A masterpiece.
