2019 Rüdesheim Berg Schlossberg Riesling Grosses Gewächs trocken, Rheingau, Germany

Warm nose of partly candied yellow fruits with caramel and buttery traces, some sea buckthorn-like yellow spice, floral nuances, a hint of mushrooms and nutty tones. Ripe, again somewhat warm fruit, yellow spice, buttery traces and peanut, fine acidity, mellow tannin, clear, tart, rather dark mineral notes in the background, good persistence, has power, spicy flavours, a little candy, also bacon and resinous herbs, light wood tones, very good, slightly ethereal finish with some alcohol warmth.
