2020 Lemberger Reserve, Württemberg, Germany

Firm and quite deep, slightly warm, somewhat tobacco aroma of ripe black berries with a hint of cherries, fleshy-animal traces and pepper. Dense, quite juicy dark fruit with rather tart, slightly smoky and a hint of ashy wood spice, nutty tones and a hint of charcoal, some bite and fine, youthful tannin, persistent on the palate, restrained power, herbs and juniper in the background, salty hints, becomes even more complex with air, very good finish with warm and cool elements, dark juice and some wood.
