2013 Granat, Württemberg, Germany

Slightly developed, somewhat leathery, smoky and a hint of animal scent of ripe, partly preserved red and black berries with cherry flavours, a little herbs and hints of coffee-spicy wood. Quite firm, tart fruit with smoky and slightly roasted spice, again a little coffee, leather and also a little pepper, some acid bite, present, relatively fine tannins, good persistence, has power, some alcohol warmth, but also cooling elements, lots of salt in the background, tobacco nuances and black tea, light, sooty bitterness, very good, taut, tart finish with bite.
