2015 Spätburgunder Fass 01, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Dried vegetal notes on the nose, hint of tar and bacon, earthy notes, predominantly black and a few red berries, partly dried floral notes. Clear, youthful, tart, juicy fruit on the palate, nutty, lightly toasted oak, hint of cocoa, lively acidity, fine sandy tannins, still slightly astringent, fairly full-bodied and persistent, hint of licorice, more spicy oak on a good to very good, fairly juicy finish.
