Somewhat smoky, resinous and cedary aromas of ripe red and black berries with tobacco flavours, hints of Mediterranean herbs and a hint of lavender. Quite juicy, yet tart fruit with resinous spice, smoky notes, some bitter nuts and tobacco, notes of crumbly beef on the palate, cocoa in the background, still slightly drying, but again mellow tannins, very slightly open style, becomes increasingly juicy with air, very good finish.

Best to drink: 2025-2030+. What our ratings mean
