2020 Riesling Landwein "Quo Vadis", Rheinhessen, Germany

Somewhat herbal, almost a little reminiscent of sage, aroma of ripe citrus fruits and stone fruits with a hint of dark berries, hints of lavender and mineral notes. Ripe, partly preserved, melting fruit, rather moderate acidity, some grip of crumbly tannin, herbal flavours again reminiscent of sage, chalky mineral tones, persistent, salty, has power, some depth, a hint of butter in the background, very good, very slightly drying finish. Unconventional, but very good.
