2016 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Pinot Nero Turmhof, Alto Adige, Italy

Clear nose, red and a few black berries, some cherries, herbaceous notes, earthy and dried floral traces. Straightforward tart, juicy fruit on the palate, light peppery spice, moderate, slightly smoky oak, herbaceous traces, light acid bite, very fine youthful tannins, good persistence, salty mineral notes in the background, stil llargely undeveloped, some bite on a very good, fairly firm and juicy finish.
