Fairly open tart nose, black berries and sour cherries, spicy and dried floral aromas, tar, dried herbs, marzipan and some alcohol. Full-bodied and tart dark fruit on the palate, sooty, smoky oak, very slightly jammy, very elegant acidity, fairly fine tannins, good persistence, fairly polished, hint of chocolate and tobacco, some depth, fairly cool in spite of the high alcohol, light spicy oak on a very good, slightly alcoholic finish. Still needs some time to mature.
