2023 Riesling VDP.Gutswein trocken "1920", Rheinhessen, Germany

festering and deeper, somewhat plant-like to herbal and fatty, minimal white-peppery scent with restrained yellow fruity aromas and certain barrel tones. Ripe, juicy, moderately sweet fruit, very fine to moderate acidity, a bit of grip from soft tannins, red berry aromas, creamy hints on the palate, persistent, with melt and hinted ethereal spice, fennel in the background, also yellow-spicy notes and pineapple, certain strength, mineral notes, a touch of smoke in the very good, firm, slightly sweet finish.
