2022 Nierstein Orbel Riesling trocken Reserve "O", Rheinhessen, Germany

A slightly tarragon and leather reminiscent scent with rather cool, restrained, noble yellow fruity aromas, a hint of tobacco and tobacco ash, kale, and a little pepper. Ripe, again cool, polished, juicy, slightly creamy fruit with apricot tones, very fine acidity, a little vine leaves and capers on the palate, yeasty traces, in the background salt, a hint of dark fruits, suggested licorice, persistent, good depth, very good, firm finish with fine juice and a certain herbal spiciness as well as a hint of charcoal and plenty of minerality.
