2021 Nierstein Riesling Reserve "B", Rheinhessen, Germany

Firm and quite deep, multi-layered, somewhat nutty and slightly tobacco aroma with restrained yellow fruity aromas, a little dark fruit, yellow spice, ethereal notes, smoke, a hint of root vegetables, pistachios, olives, pepper and tarry oily nuances. Ripe, juicy and melting fruit with nutty aromas, a touch of brown butter, hints of tobacco and floral nuances, again slightly oily on the palate, some warmth, moderate acidity, dense and persistent on the palate, salt and also dark minerality in the background, some sauteed mushrooms, bacon and parsley, good depth, a little yellow spice, a hint of cocoa, relatively compact structure, gains even more tension with plenty of air, becomes cooler, firmer and deeper, very good to long, juicy and spicy finish with plenty of tart minerality. Becomes more and more impressive with time and only slowly shows what it can do on the third day.
