2020 Riesling VDP.Gutswein trocken "1920", Rheinhessen, Germany

Firm and quite deep, still slightly closed, noble aroma of ripe yellow fruits with herbal and slightly floral aromas, some yeast, tobacco, hints of black berries and distinct minerality. Ripe, firm, tart-juicy, also somewhat melting fruit, very fine acidity, much grip of ripe tannin, herbal and floral tones, a little yeast, lasting, good depth, clear, tart minerality, tobacco nuances and again also black berry hints in the background, still hardly developed, very good, juicy and tart-mineral finish, again with tannin grip and nutty-yeasty tones. Needs time.
