2003 Spätburgunder trocken vom Kalkgestein, Rheinhessen, Germany

Dried rose petals on the nose, austere, peppery mienral notes, smoyk and roasted notes. Cassis and red currants on the palate initially, tomato leaves and pipe tobacco, some pureed plums, very full-bodied, hint of coconut, red bell peppers, mineral notes, slightly bitter on quite a long finish.
