2017 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Riserva Extra Brut (Deg.:06/23), Alto Adige, Italy

Clear and quite fine, very slightly developed, fine vegetal to herbaceous and delicately yeasty nose with citrus and pome fruit aromas, a little mushroom, tobacco and smoke. Quite firm fruit with tart nutty, smoky and tobacco flavours, slightly vegetal, buttery and bacony in the background, persistent on the palate, fine mousseux, some depth, has bite, tones reminiscent of root vegetables in the background, very good, firm, again slightly smoky finish with salty and chalky notes.
