2020 Hohenbeilstein Schlosswengert Spätburgunder VDP.Grosses Gewächs trocken Monopollage, Württemberg, Germany

Somewhat warm, slightly smoky and spicy oak on the nose, ripe, partly preserved red and black berries, nutty, dried floral and light ethereal-herbal aromas. Ripe, partly preserved, melting, warm fruit, smoky and roasted wood aromas with coffee and chocolate, crumbly-sandy tannin, good persistence, relatively much power, some salt in the background, ashy notes, fine vegetal hints, with air also liquorice, seems a little thickened, relies more on fullness than finesse, but has substance, in the finish again fell coffee and cocoa spicy and smoky wood.
