2019 Hohenbeilstein Schlosswengert Spätburgunder VDP.Grosses Gewächs trocken Monopollage, Württemberg, Germany

Somewhat developed, tobacco, light nutty and smoky, woody-spicy nose with black and red berry aromas, hint of cherries, distinct marzipan, hint of rubber and a little ash. Somewhat smoky and ashy on the palate, ripe fruit, partly preserved, partly fresh, again a lot of marzipan, behind it herbs, a little coffee grounds and blood orange, chalky-salty minerality in the background, good persistence, relatively fine tannins that only dry increasingly with air, very good, somewhat smoky finish with bite.
