2018 Barbaresco DOCG Castellizzano Riserva, Piedmont, Italy

Tart, a little dried-floral, tobacco and mushroomy-earthy scent with red and black fruit aromas, a little leather, tar and a hint of root vegetables. Tart-juicy fruit with dried-vegetable and slightly tarry aromas, taut, relatively fine and friable tannin, a hint of ash in the background, earthy tones, a little tobacco and cocoa, good persistence, some power and warmth, juniper traces, very good finish with warm, tart juice and spice.
