2018 D.O.Ca Rioja Tempranillo Proelio "Puerto Rubio", La Rioja, Spain

Firm and deep, youthful, slightly tarry aroma of ripe black berries, some leather and tobacco with a hint of rubber and pepper. Ripe, firm dark fruit, present, predominantly friable tannin, still drying a touch, ethereal spiciness on the palate, floral nuances, has polish and fine acid bite, a hint of blood orange in the background, then bitter chocolate and some coffee grounds, good depth, still little developed, very good, firm, still slightly drying finish.
