2022 Pinot Noir, Pfalz, Germany

Quite a firm, smoky and tobacco-like aroma of more black than red berries with hints of cherry and a little vegetal and earthy notes. Clear, polished, tart and rather cool fruit, fine, crumbly-sandy, youthful tannins, quite clear spice of partly dried herbs, good persistence, a hint of cocoa in the background, slightly green tones, a hint of chalk, tobacco and salt, hints of liquorice, good to very good finish.
