2022 Grauburgunder "Mineral", Pfalz, Germany

Firm and deep, somewhat smoky, mushroomy, nutty and vegetal to herbaceous nose with pomaceous and stone fruit notes and a hint of mussel shells. Polished, firm, tart, juicy fruit with delicately creamy, a hint of nut butter and hints of fennel, lively yet fine acidity, has a grip of ripe tannin, good substance and persistence, salty minerality, barrel wood and tobacco in the background, very good, grippy finish.
