2022 Haardt Chenin Blanc "Herzog", Pfalz, Germany

Firm and quite deep, tart, somewhat smoky nose with fine, concentrated yellow-fruity aromas with vegetal notes reminiscent of root vegetables. Also dense on the palate, ripe, bright, juicy fruit with lots of fine vegetal spice, some smoke and moderate barrel tones, persistent on the palate, has power and depth, firm structure, a hint of butter in the background, some toastiness, still young, very good, juicy, melting and finely spicy finish.
