2022 Sauvignon Blanc "Fumé", Pfalz, Germany

Quite firm, somewhat smoky, nutty and a hint of tobacco on the nose with white and yellow fruity aromas, some wood spice and a little eucalyptus and blackcurrant leaves. Ripe, melting, somewhat warm, increasingly juicy fruit with air, nutty and buttery flavours, very fine acidity, some grip, light, slightly smoky barrel tones, persistent on the palate, good substance and some depth, light mineral notes in the background, medium strength, a hint of tobacco ash, blackcurrant leaves again, very good, again slightly buttery finish with increasing bite.

Best to drink: Ende 2024 bis 2028+. What our ratings mean
