2021 Pinot Noir, Pfalz, Germany

Clear, somewhat nutty and very delicately smoky aroma of more red than black berries with floral traces and some herbal and peppery nuances. Tart, restrained, rather slender fruit, smoky and hints of sooty wood, noticeable acidity and present, yet fine tannin, good persistence, again herbal and peppery hints, chalk and salt in the background, still undeveloped, fine bitter tones, good to very good, tart and quite firm finish with smoky notes and noticeable acidity.
