2020 Ungstein Weilberg Riesling, Pfalz, Germany

Slightly floral and herbaceous celery nose with citrus and stone fruit aromas, yeasty traces, mushrooms, a little yellow spice and a touch of bacon. Firmly knit, tangy, rather bright fruit, lively acidity and plenty of grip of crumbly tannin and also yeast, nutty and mushroomy hints, persistent, good substance and some depth, distinct, chalky-salty minerality, a trace of butter in the background, herbal nuances, very good, firm, hinted smoky finish with tart juice.
