2020 Pinot Noir Réserve, Pfalz, Germany

Somewhat floral and a touch fleshy scent of mixed berries with restrained cherry notes as well as a little foliage and herbal and peppery traces. Tight, tangy fruit with smoky, toasty and slightly peppery tones, some herbs and a hint of dark chocolate, persistent and quite dense on the palate, youthful, fine tannin, some acid bite, salty minerality, good depth, bacony-meaty nuances, black olives and oregano in the background, slightly smoky, very good, firm finish with grip and bite.
