2020 Sauvignon Blanc "Baer", Pfalz, Germany

Firm and quite deep, quite clearly reminiscent of wasabi, slightly smoky and nutty aroma with citrus flavours, white berries, some stone fruit, tobacco and tobacco ash as well as some wood spice. Ripe, firm, very dry, somewhat melting and slightly buttery fruit, nutty, smoky and a little tobacco flavours, persistent and quite concentrated on the palate, has substance and some depth, a certain warmth, has power, fine bitter spice, minerality in the background, avocado notes, earthy root vegetables, tones reminiscent of potato peelings with air, hints of dark berries, very good, firm, nutty, buttery and smoky-spicy finish, again with a certain bitterness.
