2014 Nussdorf Kaiserberg Pinot Noir Alte Reben, Pfalz, Germany

clear, firm nose, light herbaceous notes, red and a few black berries and some cerries, hint of green tobacco, smoky oak, hint of dried flowers. Tart, juicy, ripe, fairly dark fruit on the palate, smoky oak and some bacon, fine, sandy, youthful tannins, full-body, herbaceous traces, good persistence, earthy and salty notes in the background, slightly rustic style, some bite, dried vegetal as well as more earthy and mineral notes on a very good, firm, smoky finish.
