2007 Colli di Scandiano e di Canossa DOC Malvasia di Candia secco Daphne®, Emilia Romagna, Italy

Dried and candied yellow fruit on the nose, light spices and wilted leaves, light yeasty notes. Fairly cool style with dried yellow fruit and some light citrus notes on the palate, sweetish linden flowers in the background, noticeable but not obtrusive tannins, moderate mousse, not a lot of substance, has varietal character and shows its origins, slightly rough and astringent on an attractive finish.
