2005 Reggiano DOC secco Assolo, Emilia Romagna, Italy

Red and dark berries on the nose, light smoky and yeasty notes, a hint of sweaty saddle. Juicy blackcurrant and blueberry fruit, delicate tart cranberries, fairly moderate lemony acidity, just a hint of slightly prominent and slightly astringent tannins, delicate mousse, not a lot of substance, but quite charming, acceptable to attractive finish.
