Winery Wines Files 11

2021 Maximin Grünhaus Herrenberg Riesling Grosses Gewächs trocken, Mosel, Germany

Firm and deep, slightly smoky and still reductive aroma with noble yellow fruity aromas, herbs, some yeast, tobacco and restrained vegetal aromas. Ripe, juicy, somewhat sweet fruit with smoky yeasty, nutty and herbaceous vegetal flavours, fine, lively acidity and plenty of grip from friable tannin, persistent on the palate, with depth and tension, still undeveloped, black and red berry in the background, very good, tight, sweetly juicy, distinctly mineral and somewhat smoky-spicy finish. Needs to mature.
